Every list is built for real homes

No craft-store haul, no two-hour prep, no screens. Just ideas you can start before the “I’m bored” turns into a meltdown.

Mess-free first

Most ideas use paper, tape and what’s already in the kitchen drawer , clean-up in five minutes, tops.

Budget-friendly

We flag what costs nothing and what needs one cheap supply, so you’re never surprised at checkout.

Ready in minutes

Each activity comes with setup time, age range and a twist for older or younger siblings.

Zero screen time

Our story

It started with one rainy Saturday and two very bored kids

kidgoplay began as a kitchen-table list. After scrolling past dozens of “easy” activities that needed a glue gun, a trip to the craft store and an hour of prep, we started writing down the ones that actually worked with what we had at home.

That notebook became this site. Every list is tested with real kids, sorted by age and mess level, and written so you can skim it on your phone while the toddler is pulling at your sleeve.

Our promise is simple: ideas you can start in five minutes, with things you already own, that leave everyone a little happier than before.

  • Tested at home, not in a studio
  • Age range and prep time on every idea
  • New lists every single day

Hi, I’m Jonathan. I write and test every list on kidgoplay with my own kids and a very patient group of parent friends. Before this I spent years planning camps and classroom activities, which is where the “mess-free, budget-friendly, ready in minutes” rule comes from , if it didn’t survive a room of twenty six-year-olds, it doesn’t go on the site.
